They are long enough to wear with knee-high boots or wear the cuffs at the top of your calf with sandals. Elastic cuffs make them comfortable to wear as you caulk a ship or reap the harvest. A drawstring waistband allows one to feast and famine in them, or drink a lot of juice, if you like. Ours also have secret pockets hidden in the side seams.
