Tunic has been throughout history, and even till today still used for some cultures in daily living and others to religious ceremony. From the ancient Greeks to the Romans, and medieval times, tunics represented an easily made, highly comfortable, garment that could be worn by all sectors of society. Tunics were made in many different colors, fabrics, and levels of decoration depending on a person's position and wealth.
